Vacaville Youth Soccr League

5v5 Spring 2026 Program

7-12 y/o two day program with midweek training and weekend games.

  • Program Description

  • Registration Cost: $247

At Just4Kicks, we believe courage is at the heart of the game — and of life.

Whether a child joins us just for fun or dreams of playing at the highest levels, one thing is non-negotiable: courage.

In today’s world, the word courage is often misunderstood, watered down, or even hijacked. But on the soccer field, we bring it back to its true form:

    • The courage to show up.
    • The courage to try, fail, and try again.
    • The courage to compete.
    • The courage to support teammates and face challenges head-on.

Soccer is our tool — but what we’re really building is the bravery kids need wherever they go, both on the field and beyond.

We do this through the five pillars of player formation: Biomechanics, Technical Ability, Cognitive Capacity, Soccer IQ, and Emotional Intelligence.

Join us for an experience that puts soccer second — and the formation of a child first. As it should be.

    "Small-Sided Soccer. Big-Sided Courage."

    FAQ's about the program

    • Is the program coed?

    • Depending on the number of registrations, teams may be coed or gender-specific. Help us spread the word to get Gender specific divisions. We only need 36 per division.

    • Who is this program for?

    • This program is the next step from our Just4kicks classes, adding a game-day experience. It's open to kids interested in soccer or those with prior experience. If a child shows abilities that are better suited for an older or younger group or program, we will discuss this with the parents individually.

    • Do you need Volunteer Coaches?

    • Volunteer parents are necessary to make the program run smoothly. Volunteers will receive full guidance from Coach Al. Volunteers assist during training days and/or manage substitutions during matches.  Volunteers will not be organizing or running practices on their own. A volunteer form will be offered after registering.

    • What gear will my child need?

    • Registration cost includes a game day top that will be worn on Game Day Saturdays. Shinguards and long socks over the shinguards will be required. Soccer cleats are recommended.

Baseball/softball/football cleats will not be allowed to be worn.

    • Can we request a friend?

    • You may request that your child be placed on the same team as a friend (A request form will be provided after registering)

    • What is the Program Focus?

    • While there will be a team crowned 1st place, the primary goal is player development, not match results. Healthy competition and growth in all five pillars are our priority: • Biomechanics: Movement and body control • Technical: Ball handling and skills • Cognitive: Kinetic response and decision-making • Soccer IQ: Understanding the laws of the game • Soccer EQ: Emotional intelligence—how the child feels about themselves and others in moments of success and challenge

    • Why 5v5?

    • Internationally, 5v5 is a common play format because it keeps all players engaged and ensures more interactions with the ball. Smaller fields mean more ball control and fewer moments spent running in open space or standing still.

    Loved By Many

Just4kicks allows kids to experience soccer the way I did back home in my country but better because there is a coach there to manage and facilitate instruction. The philosophy is right on the mark!

Just4kicks allows kids to open up on the soccer field, and it is incredible to me how well kids adapt and learn in this type of environment. Everything is positive, and the coaches are great. Thank you!

Coach Al's methodology in initiating kids is phenomenal. I think soccer has a bright future if we continue with this type of soccer learning. He has changed my mind about youth soccer. Keep it up!

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Is this a league program?

J4kicks offers soccer classes and camps where kids come to learn, have fun, and play soccer weekly. Our motto is 'Play, Fun, Learn.' We do offer our 5v5 program in Vacaville that consists of a training day + match day.

What are the gear requirments for the classes?

Gear is as simple as the sport! We recommend shin guards and soccer cleats, but you’re welcome to start with whatever your child already has. Just make sure they wear comfortable, active clothing and shoes suitable for running and movement.

Please avoid softball, baseball, or football cleats — those are designed for different sports and can actually slow down your child’s soccer development.

    What happens if it rains?

We have gaps in between our seasonal sessions in case we need to cancel due to weather. We simply extend the class to makeup any canceled classes. The cities parks dept. will make the call to close fields. You should have joined your cities BAND group to get instant notifications!

I registerd for a class but not part of the BAND group yet. How do I get in the group?

We use BAND to communicate with you all things Just4kicks and programs. Click on the BAND group to join below (we recommend you join with your smart phone)
